V\u00e6ret er en dr\u00f8m igjen, slik at de f\u00f8rste sommerfuglene allerede for\u00e5rsaker v\u00e5rfeber hos noen mennesker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fjellene var ganske varme denne morgenen, rundt syv grader, men dalene var iskalde og dekket av rimfrost. dal, oppdager vi en s\u00e6regenhet som kalles h\u00e5ris, eller isull (se bildene ovenfor). P\u00e5 avstand ser det ut til \u00e5 v\u00e6re en sopp, men nei, det er faktisk en ganske sjelden form for is, som bare kan sees under veldig spesifikke forhold. Her er en kort oppsummering fra LWG Bayern: I dette naturfenomenet dannes ish\u00e5r p\u00e5 d\u00f8de grener av l\u00f8vtre. Det spesielle med denne isformen er at den ikke vokser som en istapp i endene, men fra basen. For at h\u00e5ris skal dannes, m\u00e5 det ha regnet mye i en eller to dager p\u00e5 forh\u00e5nd, og temperaturen m\u00e5 da v\u00e6re like rundt frysepunktet. Dette m\u00e5 etterf\u00f8lges av en vindstille periode. Deretter m\u00e5 temperaturen synke under frysepunktet slik at det kan dannes is. Men det m\u00e5 heller ikke bli for kaldt, slik at prosessen i grenen ikke stopper opp. Veksten i strukturene skjer fordi vannet f\u00f8rst fryser p\u00e5 toppen og utvider seg. Men ytterligere vann presses inn fra innsiden av grenen. N\u00e5r det n\u00e5r overflaten, fryser det ogs\u00e5 og utvider seg. If\u00f8lge en studie utl\u00f8ses h\u00e5ris av myceliet til vinteraktive sopp, hvis aerobe metabolisme produserer gasser som fortrenger vannet i treet til overflaten. Det har vist seg at h\u00e5rris bare vokser p\u00e5 d\u00f8de grener av l\u00f8vtr\u00e6r som er kolonisert av den rosafargede gel\u00e9skorpen (Exidiopsis effusa). De n\u00f8yaktige kjemiske og fysiske prosessene som gir opphav til ish\u00e5rene er fortsatt uklare. Forskerne oppdaget imidlertid rester av organiske stoffer i de smeltede ish\u00e5rene. Blant dem var lignin. H\u00e5risforskeren M\u00e4tzler mistenker at ligninet eller et lignende stoff gj\u00f8r at isen beholder sin uvanlige form. H\u00e5risen kan dermed fungere som en slags frostv\u00e6ske for tresoppen. Dermed fryser ikke vannet i grenen der soppen lever, men utenfor. Energien som frigj\u00f8res under fryseprosessen gj\u00f8r ogs\u00e5 grenen litt varmere enn omgivelsene. g\u00e5r turen v\u00e5r sjeldnere langs elven Our, men oftere inn i sidedalene og over noen ganger anstrengende oppoverbakker, noe som f\u00e5r kreftene til \u00e5 svinne mer og mer. Etter g\u00e5rsdagens utmattende dag har vi mye \u00e5 kjempe for. I tillegg er det ufremkommelige passasjer p\u00e5 grunn av vindbrudd i bratte skr\u00e5ninger, men vi fortsetter \u00e5 kjempe oss oppover fjellet. P\u00e5 toppen n\u00e5r vi Vianden pumpekraftverk, s\u00e5 vidt vi vet det eneste i v\u00e5r umiddelbare n\u00e6rhet. Det kunstige vannbassenget p\u00e5 509 meter over havet brukes sammen med magasinet i dalen til \u00e5 lagre energi i form av vann. I perioder n\u00e5r det forbrukes lite energi i form av elektrisitet, brukes overskuddsenergien til \u00e5 pumpe vannet opp i det \u00f8vre bassenget. N\u00e5r det forbrukes mye elektrisitet\/energi, produserer pumpekraftverket energi ved \u00e5 slippe vann fra det \u00f8vre bassenget gjennom turbinene og dermed generere energi. Det er alts\u00e5 ikke noe annet enn et stort batteri p\u00e5 toppen av fjellet. Pumpekraftverket ble bygget fra 1954 til 1964 og g\u00e5r tilbake til planer fra 1925. turister opp p\u00e5 fjellet, og deretter videre med vakker utsikt over Vianden Castle. Turen v\u00e5r slutter i dag og her tidligere enn planlagt, ettersom batteriene v\u00e5re var p\u00e5 sitt minimum. P\u00e5 dette punktet vil vi gjerne rose Luxembourgs offentlige transportsystem. I Vianden, som er ganske landlig, g\u00e5r det busser hver time p\u00e5 s\u00f8ndager til n\u00e6rliggende Diekirch - gratis, akkurat som i resten av Luxembourg. Det ville v\u00e6rt utenkelig i Tyskland. S\u00e5 vi benyttet oss av denne muligheten og ble kj\u00f8rt til bilen som sto parkert ved v\u00e5r egentlige destinasjon.
